WHAT: I was commissioned by a professional improv team to design a logo and several poster variants to promote their new shows at the Annoyance Theater and iO Theater in Chicago.

Their set features a made-up episode of a nonexistent sitcom, pulling tropes and ideas from existing shows, and they wanted their branding to reflect that approach.

HOW:  I began by researching recognizable sitcom paraphernalia and sketching the improv team members in varying styles. I presented rough poster ideas to the team for feedback and honed my design several times, then moved to finalizing the linework and colors in Adobe Illustrator.
